¿Sabías que el Canadian Central American Relief Effort (CCAMRE) cuenta con programas educativos en Guatemala? Actualmente el CCAMRE apoya a veinticuatro jóvenes becados para estudiar el nivel secundaria en las Montañas del Merendon en Guatemala. Así como el CCAMRE, tú también puedes ayudar asistiendo a la Gran Noche Latina “To Wish Upon a Star”, evento que reúne fondos económicos para cubrir los costos de educación de los jóvenes y niños en Centro América.
Los fondos recaudados en este evento son para apoyar los programa de educación, así como otros programas. Los jóvenes Mayan Chorti tienen esperanza ahora con el apoyo de CCAMRE y la comunidad hispana.
“To Wish Upon a Star” se llevará a cabo este sábado 01 de marzo en el Lambton Golf and Country Club. Es la edición número 14 de este evento anual que congrega a la comunidad hispana bajo un fin generoso de contribuir con la educación de niños con bajos recursos en esas montañas. Did you know that Canadian Central American Relief Effort (CCAMRE) has educational programs in Guatemala? At the present time CCAMRE is supporting 24 adolescents with secondary school scholarships in the Merendon Mountians of Guatemala. You can help with this effort by attending a CCAMRE event, A Grand Latin Evening “To Wish Upon a Star”.
The proceeds of this event will go toward CCAMRE scholarship and other ongoing programs. The Mayan Chorti children may be able to have hope because of CCAMRE and the Hispanic and other communities at large. “To Wish Upon a Star” will be held on Saturday March 1st 2014, at the Lambton Golf and Country Club. This is a yearly event for CCAMRE, it will be our 14th year that the Hispanic community will come together to contribute to a better life for the children who are living in extreme poverty in those mountains.
