Miss Latina Canada 2010 Now in its 6th year Miss Latina Canada remains the only national event in the country for the Latin American Community. 30 Latina’s from across Ontario, Quebec, Alberta, and British Colombia, with Latin American Heritage from Argentina, Brazil, Cuba, Colombia, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Mexico, Nicaragua, Peru and Spain, will battle it out for the crown in season 2 of Miss Latina Canada: The Reality Series. Season 1 winner, Diana Schoutsen had an incredible year, and says that she will find it difficult to give up the title. “It will be hard, because it has been such an amazing experience,” says Schoutsen, “but I am looking forward to the next steps and what new opportunities are in my future as a result of this.” This year the organization saw an incredible testament to their work when 2007 winner Mariana Valente won Miss Universe Canada 2009 – making her the first Latina to represent Canada at Miss Universe. The event is hosted by Myrna Kahan and includes a VIP audience with Daniela Cruz: Miss Latina Canada 2005, Giselle Moya: Miss Latina Canada 2006, Diana Schoutsen: Miss Latina Canada 2009, Miss World Canada 2009: Lena Wan, Miss Universe Canada 2009: Mariana Valente and Latin American consulates.

About Miss Latina Canada

Miss Latina Canada is the official Latin American modeling competition system in Canada. The event is the first of its kind, and the only annual national event for the Latin-American community in Canada.

Winners become Canada's Latin-Canadian Good Will Ambassador and travel through the America's as a an official representative of Canada's growing Latin American population. In 2008, Miss Latina Canada became the first reality television series to air in the country about pageants, and also the first time in over 22 years that a pageant was broadcast on national Canadian television in a prime time slot.
